I agree with Half-life being a stupid name when you think about it. But most are.
Half-life ist not a stupid name at all..

Half-life (T˝) is the time required for one half of the atoms in any starting sample of a radioisotope to ...blabla bla...
It makes perfect sense..

Half-life is the scientific term to when a material reachs half of its 'living state' while on a decaying level, and since the game starts with a radioactive breakdown, then it ain't stupid at all! and BTW the longest the HL, the more dangerous the material is! Plutonium's HL is something like 4.3 million years!

Actually, Final Fantasy was originally Square's last ditch-effort. Back in the NES days, they were going bankrupt, and Final Fantasy was going to be their last game. But it sold so well that it single-handedly saved the company.
I think the name is pretty cool, because it really is a symbol of the company. The irony is pretty cool, since it has meaning. They didn't just spontaneously decide to make 10 games with the name "Final" in them.
But what about "Pornstar: Hail to the Beef?"

Well, you are right and wrong. Half life determines the amount of time for a radioactive substance to decay (i.e. turn to lead) to half it's original size. The most dangerous substances are the one's who's half lives are very small. Think about it, The more mass a substance has, the more beta particles (a.k.a. radiation) it must throw out to halve it's original mass. So, a substance who's half life is 10 seconds means that half it's original mass is going to be lodged into your nut sack as radiation in 10 seconds.Originally posted by sikeman

And since we're talking about radioactive decay, it's the gamma radiation you should be worrying about more than the beta particles.
EDIT: mistook beta radiation for alpha. It's the alpha particles that can't go through you.
How is Wargasm a stupid name? It's a pretty good name for a game.
If we created a thread for "Best Name for a Game," I bet Wargasm would be mentioned there.
Edit: I guess you could be saying that the name "Wargasm" is funny since the creator of this thread wanted funny names along with stupid names. I guess any game with a remotely interesting or creative name could be in this thread.
