The game wasint called Murder Death Kill, Just MDK.
When you install the game, you can read about what MDK could stand for.
And Space bunnys must die is the stupides name
it's funny how this turned into a "I don't understand what the title means" thread.
The dc game "ooga booga" bothers me.

I didn't know what a water closet was until I was 10. Some countries don't use that terminology.Originally posted by GoodGuy

FYI, "Murder Death Kill" is a reference from the movie
Demolition Man. Whether MDK stands for that has been a point of debate...
Silliest name: "My Funny Maze" for Amiga, Turtle Byte Software

Mario Teaches Typing. Why the hell would I want a fat plumber who constantly munches shrooms, to teach me how to type?
Christ, isn't there at least someone who's old enough to know what "Quake" refers to? And no, it's not of the same meaning as "tremor."
If you read the Quake hype around Doom2's time, you'd know that Quake was originally a pseudo-RPG. The villain was named Quake. As Quake became more and more Doom-like, Quake, although still a villain, was the evil entity in another dimension who sent you those on-screen messages (ie: "You have discovered a secret area!" came from Quake himself).
Of course, the storylines fell apart and Quake was never featured. It's too bad since Shub Niggurath was only one of his henchmen (henchthing?) and there was actual consistency in Quake's 4 dimensions.
In summary: Quake is the name of the bad guy who talks to you in the form of on-screen messages.
Q2 and Q3 follows the naming convention for the sake of legal and brand name reasons.
