"Norton Internet Security 2003 *PROPER* - MaGE" is nuked due to some
bin errors.
The repack from MaGE called "Norton Internet Security 2003 *REAL*" has
also been nuked (not listed here on iSONEWS).
Does anyone know why?

The 'proper' bin MaGE release has over 200 corrupted sectors. The 'real' MaGE release has the 'proper' release packed inside the bin. So again, it's a bad pack. The only real release of this thus far, is NIS2003.-WINBETA.ISO which was nuked for not being in a bin/cue format.
so the real and proper are both nuked?
Sorry for mistakes and errors..this is real one. tested with cdmage and
binchunkler 1.6 with no errors.
thats from the real nfo.

I found no binerrors with CDmage/Binchunker. No problems installing.
MaGE must have been drunk when they made this one, the bin has a folder with the MaGE 'proper' release rar'ed inside it. So it's a recompiled image. That's why it's twice the size of WiNBETA's release.Originally posted by Shadow81

While Mage normally impress me with their quality releases, I was very disappointed to find that they didn't copy the REAL CD image from the retail on this one. It has an application identifier of Nero, which none of the real final Norton CDs have. Draw your own conclusions.
Ah, I didn't browse the CD. Now I see what you meant, the dir "NORTONINTERNETSECURITY2003PRO" heh.
It seems there is a reason for everything. So thanks
for the replies, guys
I've got problems installing NIS 2003. I had previously NIS 2002 and uninstalled it and rebooted. now when i try to install nis 2003 it says "Before installing NIS, you must restart your computer to complete an earlier uninstallation. Restart the computer then run the installer again". I have rebooted way too many times and still does say that. Anyone has an idea what to do?
Thanks in advance everyone.
