Hi folks,

I would like to raise some doubts about the crack of trillian pro... When I started it today, I had my whole contact list erased, and my MSN connection setup erased too. The AIM and ICQ connections are still here, but only 2 contacts were left on the contact list. I think the developers followed some of the guidelines included in Fravia's software protection lab (http://www.woodmann.com/fravia/protec.htm), namely that a wrong serial doesn't trigger an error, or it could be some kind of serial number tracking on the Net like most current online games have.

Anyone got infos about that? Meanwhile, I advise you to create a backup of your C:\Program Files\Trillian\users\default\buddies.xml just in case (if it happened to you, you can still have a look in the C:\Program Files\Trillian\users\default\logs directory, where all history for your contacts is stored, this gives you the opportunity to readd everyone you had.)

I'm gonna bitch and say that you should support Trillian. I've been using the program for over a year back when it was still freeware. I paid the $$$ when the Pro version came out and love the program. So if it's fucking you up, good, you deserve it. This is well-worth the money. If you don't like it, then run 4 different clients on your desktop.

Its a nice program, I am using the cracked version fine.

Actually, if I was done school and making money, i would have bought it.. Too bad i'm a poor starving student
