So there is no fix for NHl 2002.. when i get the white screen then the stupid error saying it doesnt' work.. damnit.. I can never play nhl 2002

The only real complaint I have is that they failed miserably trying to "streamline" the interface.

Anyone have any idea how to edit lines manually? I want to add the Calgary/Colorado trade.

I've had no problem with running this game.
The only problem is that my computer is too shit to run it smoothly.
I could turn down the resolution and detail level but it already looks pretty shitty and if i turn down the detail, I'd rather play nhl 2002. The gameplay is boring as hell anyway.

not sure if others had this issue before but when i try to play an direct ip game with a friend of mine, no matter who is trying to host we get the invalid ip error.

any ideas?

I have a saved season that I was playing when I installed this on win98 - now I'm on XP pro due to crashing of the OS. Where do I have to put the saved information (db folder, ditties, user folder, etc)? I tried overwriting the folders in the default install path - c:\program files\ea sports\.... but no good. I tried starting a new season so I could see where the game would make the folders in winXP - no good. So - Nhl2003 players with XP - where are the files to overwrite?

I would have searched but the search options been disabled by the admin.

rzr's NHL 2003 installed fine for me under XP....

however, Im noticing that the crowd looks like the crowd in NHL 2000 , just bland colors without any figures....like colored seats. I went online to doublecheck the screenshots and it appears to be different from my actual in game footage. Im very confused.

anyone else notice this?

edit: wait, now I see both types on the screenshots..

are you kidding me with this lame fuckin crowd.......this game is so fuckin bland....... talk about a step in the wrong direction

I liked 2002 better, but my league uses 2003 so I guess I have no choice.

mdl92x: thats what I figured since thats where I got the saved seasons to begin with - perhaps I just got confused since XP left all the 98 stuff on my drive - Iwas in a great haste to format so my computer would stay booted

I'll try that out and hope it works - I just had the settings tweaked to make the game fit to play.

Here is the REAL FIX:

I tried all of the other fixes and got fed up!
Media PLayer 9 does not exist in my add removes!
I tried renaming the media player exe, tried unloading the ocx as earlier suggested, but still nothing..

BY THE WAY: I'm on the DX9 Beta, and am using BETA 1 Still, so for all you that are still having issues, and running WINDOWS XP with DIRECTX 9.0 (4.09.0000.0133) Here is your fix...

REAL SIMPLE
edit intro.html with a text editor or front page...
This file is located in this folder:
x:\Program Files\EA SPORTS\NHL 2003\fe\nhl\html

This statement exists in that html file

Change the TRUE to FALSE so it reads

That's it...

Doesn't fix my problem. Still can get into menus and change settins, then as soon as I hit button to play game little skater dude starts skating around showing that it's loading, then back to windows.

I have 1.2ghz CPU, with 256 DDR RAM, Voodoo 3 3000 (I know, old vid card!) Basically, I don't understand why that would stop me from playing game. Any thoughts?

In a franchise, how do you sign free agents during the off season? I drag the players into those 3 boxes and they have sunshines next to their name so i click on sign free agents but they never get signed to my team. Can anyone help?
