help me with my video card

i have a geforce 4 ti4200 128mb im running win2k i decided to overclock my vid card . i ended up doing it with geforce tweak 3.2 one day i was playing ut2k3 and my computer froze so i go back to windows and it freezes everytime on the log on. so i go into safe mode and uninstall my drivers boots up normally then reinstall them and it still locks up. im looking for a tool that will reset my clock settings to default when i load up windows or something else that will help me resolve my problem

Hey. I just got a GeForce 4 Ti 4200 a couple of days ago. Nice update from my shitty GF2. Anyways, I overclocked mine to 275/500 from 250/450 and have had no problems at all (I play UT2k3). I used RivaTuner and installed the Asus Tweak Utility as well which lets you overclock the card. Most programs that allow you to overclock the card, like the two I have, put themselves into the registry start up programs so they start up with windows everytime, which is how the overclock works. The program you have might also do this. In XP you just type "msconfig" in run and remove the program but I don't know how to do it in 2k. You might have to search around in the registry to find the entry and remove it, or just erase the program folder, that might work.

boot in safe mode uninstall your video card and INSTALL the standar videocard (8 bit shit with 640*480) now you will be able to start windows in normal mode. uninstall your geforce tweak prog reboot. after install new nvidia driver for your card.

Yup. Also, the GTU doesn't work well with detonator drivers later than 28.xx from what I can remember...So I've stopped using it then. Now, you're probably using the 40.xx or 38.xx drivers, so just use RivaTuner...You oc, then hold down ctrl when windows boots up to reset the clock values...And with the 40.xx drivers, you can oc from the advanced desktop settings there...From the GF4 ti 4200 tab (Clock frequency tab...Button...Thing).
