but I don't think flaming people for using irc, or kazaa(as crappy as it is) is really acceptable, I thought this thread was to talk about how great rct 2 is..

well im sick of isonews
afte reading this thread ive decided that if the mods arent gonna do something

(that means you fro, get ur shit together)

then im leaving and using another release info site
i realize that isonews is big and that its much easier to manage smaller sites such as nforce but cant you start banning ips i mean it cant be that tough

i know no one really cares if i leave but i also know that alot of people dont like the way things are going here

isonews used to be a place to find useful release info
now i jsut go into a thread that ends up with ppl flaming each other
and about this thread,
who cares if someone uses irc to get their warez, maybe they dont wanna spend the time to get onto ftp boards or topsites not everyone has GOOD warez connections
most ppl think kazaa is a good way to get games and movies
that doesnt mean they are stupid!! it jsut measn they havent looked into it enough

well im done hope you mods start taking us seriously

There are a couple of good reasons why people dislike fservs/kazaa. Firstly they are not part of the scene but just leech off it. While the fxp scene/couriers actually provide a service to release groups, and before you go on about how lame the fxp scene is.. I would like to point out that many fxp groups go on to bigger and better things, as there is a degree of skill involved in some aspects of it and talent for smaller groups often comes from this source. Secondly the fxp scene has been going on for years and in places still has a good community feel. Like the old bbs's. Of course most still use boards. Yeah it is true there is a kind of eliteism but that is the way the world works. Who do you think supplies the fservs and peer to peer? Of course it comes from ftp sites which often involve fxp groups. Basically having whining people banging on about not finding stuff on mirc is just funny.

Red_Avatar.. i am not saying anything about ftp lists like the old b2k etc.. or whatever there is around now.

Anyone that doesn't have a good ftp, well your out of luck, because after the busts last year, its hard finding a stable, private, good enough ftp such as a dump, and etc..

Secondly, Packetnews is DOWN if you read the news on the main page, the updating server is down.

Lastly, if people use Kazaa, or any other P2P proggie, let them, if thats how they get their hookups, I bet once you guys must have used p2p for something you needed.

I personally use FTPs, and packetnews is good when looking for oldies.

This game looks AND feels like the original. Which might be ok except NOW it is outdated. The graphics look 3 years old and the interface is still clunky. They should have MAJORLY revamped the graphics engine and done something different with the interface. Especially the shitty terrain shaping tools. On the whole I would say this seems more like a big expansion pack then a new Rollercoaster Tycoon. If not for all the new rides and a tiny few features, it would be an expansion pack.

BAH! Mediocrity!

Why did they not make it much prettier and do something actually innovative?! Crank out the same shit and hope it sells like the original (you basically get the same shit
as the original).
I will play it, but this shit ain't worth buying, esp. if you have the original with the expansions.

I think people who flame other people for using DC or MIRC is the most geeky people around. Who cares what other people use or if they haven't got the game 10 hours after it has been released? Get a life, there's nothing to be proud about getting a game quicker than others.

I noticed problems too. I got it up and running for a few minutes, but I just went back to play it and it just keeps flashing "loading" over and over again. Now I can't get it to load! I tried reinstalling and upgrading drivers, but no dice. Can anyone tell me what detonator drivers they are using that the game runs with?
