I tried the demo. Personally, I’m very disappointed in it. I thought NFS5 looked and played a lot better.
my MAIN beef with the demo and hopefully NOT with the final full game is the fact that the instant replay is basically a "recording" of what you saw when you raced the race. It stays in the fixed camera view and only changes when you changed the camera view in the race while playing. Anybody have a big issue with this? To me, when I play racing games I spend only about 1/2 my time playing it, the other 1/2 of my time in front of a racing game is just sitting back and watching the awesome replays.
With this game's car models, graphics, and action I really really hope that the final version will have a FULL replay mode with a dynamic camera.
Anybody have more information on this?

Hopefully the full game will come with that. Pretty sure they wouldnt leave that out of the full version.
Better be an option to get rid of those stupid ass barrels too.
I dont care if its an arcade game, those barrels suck ass.

I like the game, pretty good. Finally can play a NFS after all these years which isint just fucking online like 'Motorcity' and isint just porsches like 'Porsche 2000'.
I got no grips with it really except the replay camera. Fuck theres more views in the real race than in the replay...lol! Yeah i saw others mentioning this point.
Also game runs jerky on my athlon 1266/geforce4 ti4600. dunno why, like overall framerates are good. just gettng a kinda texture jerk from time to time. :/
ack. This just looks like a graphic update from the first hot pursuit.
You couldn't get any further from realistic if you tried. I suppose arcade racers will find it fun, and sim racers will find it stupid.

I think the barrels are a nice addition to the gameplay
you need quick reflexes not luck to avoid them.(Can't undestand why so many people hate them)
The game engine is quite good I can play at 1280x1024 32 bit with quincunx aa and 2x aniso at good framerates, about 250-50 fps (I think the game is more processor intensive than fillrate cause' quincunx makes the game only a bit slower), quite better than the ps2 version wich obviously runs at a much lower resolution.
Control and feeling is quite good but nothing extraordinary
maybe due to my old sidewinder gamepad, I need one of these expensive wheels.
The eax/d3d sound is really good.
In general a good arcade racer.
I have shit problems w/ tearing, how do turn-on vsync in this game? Here the performace does it good because this.

Really like this but cant play because of constant lockups with my Radeon 8500. I know theres probs with the newer radeons but any other 8500 users keep getting lockups during gameplay ?

Man, when I turn left, it most be like a good second before the car turns left, and same right, etc. There's a huge delay when turning the wheel, plus, there's no setting to adjust this sensitivity issue... THIS SUCKS!!
Besides that, I thing the game is great! But how to fix this? This is a MUST BE RESOLVED ISSUE!

I don't have a problem with the police, so I don't want to turn them off. However the helicopters are crap IMO. Also, the toxic barrels look like crap (rainbow colored blobs); there are too many on the helicopters as well.
All in all, its very dissapointing. I knew this would be no Gran Turismo or anything, but jeez, they really make their stuff for the lowest common denomitator at EA. The controls are crap too IMO, way too lagged and floaty.
Why didnt they add Roadblocks / Road spikes of atleast something more interesting than some helecopter dropping cans of beer on the road
