    Default Why cant i watch DVD's anymore??

    hi guys i dont know much about the xbxo scene what i can tell u is my friends installed a executer chip and it uses evox or something

    when u start ur xbox but when i do load disc in trey when theres a dvd movie in my xbox it just goes to a evox screen then back to that blue evox screen anyone know why it does htat??

    You need the orignal XboX microsoft dash. Atleast thats what I had to do to get movies to work again.

    Just rename the original xboxdash.xbe to msxboxdash.xbe and then you can switch to the original MS dashboard and play your DVD's with that.

    There's actually a DVD player out that goes along with EvoX. I think it's called DVDx. It just runs as an app within EvoX. You can even set it up to be your default DVD player. I watched one of my DVD's with it last night... no problems. You don't need the remote either, BTW, it uses the controller.

    Yeah but dvdx doesnt allow u to use the remote. Just go to the evox screen and pick msdash and the dvd will boot, or modify ur evox.ini to do it automatically.

    Actually dvdx DOES allow use of the remote :-)

    It does? That's nice to hear.. especially since I have to use DVDx as a multi-region DVD player.

    I'm sure as hell not planning on using the XBox controller, since I got the DVD kit for free.
