I have a really strange problem.
I installed the game, played it a couple of times, then I had to reboot. Now the game won't play... Tried to reinstall and everything. Didn't help

Does anyone have this prob where during a track usually only once. The whole game freezes for like 3-4 seconds. Then when it goes back to normal i'm where i should be after those 3-4 seconds which is usually off the track =P
Screws up my game sometimes. Is it because I have my settings on too high?

When i tried the online gaming for nfs to just see if it had authorization servers up it said that too many people where using the cdkey access denied but NOT cdkey is wrong .So i thought hmmm ill give it a go later , later i tried it and it worked it connected to the server. But then as the loading bar got to the end it just stopped nothing no ctrl alt del it froze
But the single player works perfect

To use a Sidewinder wheel properly, in the windows software, make sure your pedals are set to COMBINED and not SEPERATE. This will make them work right.
UGH, still wish it had a good old replay mode like the old NFS games. Would have been extremely cool to see some nice pursuit replays from another viewpoint other than the one you just raced in.
I tried looking in reviews but could not find this information so if anybody have the console versions of this game (especially the PS2) version. Does the PS2 version have a good replay mode? Or did they nuke this feature with all versions of this game?
yeah the replay mode is garbage presently, guess EA took it out and is gonna add it as a new feature in upcoming NFS games.

hehe ya. I've been around here and in the scene a long time heh. Still remember downloading my FIRST full ISO game. It was Dodge Viper Racing or something by Sierra. Haha I couldn't believe I had the exact full store-copy on CD way back in 1998....haha
I don't post here that much, but I check back at the forums numerous times a day.
There are some a few really nice people out here and lots of bad people here too. Hehe so I try not to enter the fray that much, I prefer to stand by the side and watch the shit fly =P
I have the old version of the wheel (game port not USB) and in Windows XP the wheel is recognized, but has no fsncy setup options only basic... also no setings for COMBINED or SEPERATE mode. (I remember I cold do this seting within the game in GP4)Originally posted by CDN_Merlin

this game is buggy, maybe they rushed it. waiting for the usual 3 years of patch work...
well i just installed and it seems there's no option to install most of the game to the hard drive... only installs about 50mb and every time i choose cars it loads it up from cd... annoying stuff
it's ok in game though, no probs with everything set to the middle slider because my video card sucks (gf2mx)

no troubles of setting wheel, just the ff is giving me troubles..
but i think there is controller setup in options,
there go to option "BRAKE" and hit your brakes

I can play the normal single race and quick race modes - if I click on hot pursuit it crashes to the desktop. Using Deviances proper.
Oh yeah and now I'm getting "corrupted registry entries" trying to go back into the game.
POS crack or POS game, or both.
for me it crashes when i press race anywhere
