NEED FOR SPEED HELP!

u have the same probs as me... do u have a USB or gameport ver. of the wheel?

..I found on MS site that there will be no more Software upgrades for NON USB wheels for Win2k and XP! ...that sucks!

..they will work though, but no profiles and force strenghth settings and so on... there is also no COMBINED and SEPERATE setting!

so If someone knows how to fix this please help!

Well, I had NO force feedback before, the wheel would just be "loose". I got into the config of my wheel in windows and turned on "centering spring in FF games". It said so in the readme.txt of the game if anyone else bothered looking at that (I guess not). Now the FF is OK, but it's not exactly rocking my world everytime I bump into something.

AND I don't use the wheel either, cuz then I can only run one race at a time because the game will have a memory leak or some shit and when I start a second race it will all be in slow motion. Not glitching but freaking slow motion.

It is a shame about loading multiplayer , but if u have the connection why not host a multiplayer game ? the netcode is great and its great fun. I played a 3 car race last night for two hrs very addictive!

were u playing the original or crack? it seems odd that i can get into the server, but then it freezes! it should give me some error first and not freeze. the rest of game works perfect. excellent too! im going to try it LAN..but i wish someone can tell me if they got the internet play working..and what release. thanks!

Scorpzzz: hehe first thing I tried, but it wont recognice it.

I using windows xp, gameport version. And drivers that was include in xp. Where can i set combined or seprerate gas/break pedal in xp ? And how do I get the force feedback to work.. got it at "max" in the game.. but dont feel a thing.

U should have the microsoft sidewinder software installed which usually sits in the taskabr.U can select combined from there

I got the deviance repack.
Installed it and set details at medium levels @ 1024X768
Played 6 races back to back with a formula Force GP wheel and pedals and everything works great. I only get about 30-35fps on average but thats because i have a shitty vid card. Both pedals work properly and force feedback seems to work however it's very light even at maxed settings.

my system:
Windows XP Pro (devilsown keychanged with SP1) and all updates.
256MB Mushkin DDR
Radeon 64MB DDR VIVO (7200 chipset) With latest drivers updated today.
Thunderbird 1.2@1.4
Logitech Formula Force GP USB

edit: one weird thing, the intro chunks like shit i have to skip it. Load times are around 25-45 seconds.

u wish! I've tried both IMMERSiON and DEViANCE and there's no difference except DEViANCE uses a loader. The same bugs are present.

Just for reference this game (devi repack+devi crack) works fine for me.. no problems or slowdowns or anything.. takes about 5 to 10 seconds to load levels.. (30-35 fps or so in 1024x768 most of the time, seems to run smoother in 1st person mode, and definately *appears* faster in that mode.. behind the car just feel's slow becuase of the view)

So what�s the deal with online play, when i try to join a game it just freezes "loading" even thogh it seems like it�s done, however nothing more happens. Ideas?
