welp, seems as tho that after i patch MeGaX's clonecd version of this with - Need_For_Speed_Hot_Pursuit_2_NoCD_Patch-gimpsRus, i get this error 'above' - i am getting different stories from a lot of people, can anyone confirm if this version works at all, or what

running p4 2.8 gig, 1 gig rambus, geforce 4 ti4200, so it obviously isnt hardware...

was told it might be safedisc2 protection and will only burn to a few certain cdr brands?....can anyone confirm this, thanks...

I'm getting that exact error with the iMMERSiON ISO.
XP SP1, P4 2.26Ghz, Gf4 Ti4400.. SiS650 chipset.

Evolved: Try following the instructions in the gimpsRus nfo, it tells you to copy some dirs over from the CD.
After copying those over it worked fine for me.

   Extract the included exe into your Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit 2
   directory.
   
   Copy the following directories from the CD into your installation dir:
   \actors
   \AI
   \Audio
   \Cars
   \Movies
   \Particle
   \Tracks
   
   You can now play without a CD.

Uh, first off - i applied the crack because the clonecd image STILL asked for cd, so maybe try it before you start assuming little boy...

as for the copying over of dirs - i aint quite that dumb and can read - i did that, took forever to copy over those dir's, and thats the message i get AFTER i did that...

so if somebody who has actually GOT this image and had success please message me back - not people who havent.

Previous release by MeGaX - contained errors in their image along with the regular Safedisk protection errors as checked in CDMage. For a perfect image - there should only be the sector errors that are part of the safedisk protection, and here at MaXXiM present you a proper cloneCD Image.... Enjoy..

I think getting that should solve your problems...

Nooo ...ohmigod how many scene screwups of NFS HP2 can happen here? I think i'm just gonna go buy the PS2 version i've already d/l'd 3 different isos. I want the clonecd one and even that one isn't right. Ugh.

clonecd releases r only for people who have burners that support raw writing, if not then u might as well get the normal release as more often then not it will ask for the cd.

I think getting that should solve your problems...

I tested the MeGaX clone with daemon tools and the game runs fine. Haven't burned it though, but i never waiste cds on games

i installed immersion
i uninstalled immersion

i tried to install maxxim

and i get cdkey error...
is the old immersion cdkey still in the gegistry somewheres... or did maxxim give a bad key?

Poor you guys how unlucky can you guys get. Crack wroks fine for me.

But i got my hand on an original of need for speed and was able to add the crack into the iso file. But what I don't understand is howcome none off you gusy can get the game to run correctly.
