yeah it is the biggest thing in the news, i think last week he drove around in a white truck and sniped 6 people, today he shot a kid twice while his mother was dropping him off at school. ballistics reports say its the same gun.

Maybe if more people were allowed their constitutional right to carry firearms they could defend themselves. I know you can't personally defend yourself against a sniper, but when the guy(s) takes a shot other citizens would be able to fire back if they were properly armed. The guy is shooting at people like sitting ducks, he knows nobody is going to fire back. When you outlaw all the guns only criminals will have guns and innocent people won't be able to defend themselves.

yeah and then 25 people would have died instead of one

and whatabout later one when everyone is armed and some random redneck kills mustafa and his 10 kids and wife and grandma with his minigun when they are out shopping because "he was a terrorist and i saw he had a gun".

Sure dude if everyone in the world had a brain it would work fine if everyone was armed...but you know its not like that

Here's a radical idea: How about if carrying guns was illegal? Maybe make it more difficult for people to get hold of sniper rifles so this kind of thing cant happen?

exactly...like in this country...its illegal to carry a gun and its illegal to own one without lots of paperwork and background checking and whatever..and you really need to give a good reason to why you need a gun.
Also if you do get a license to own a gun you gotta store it in very secure lockers and it cant be stored in one part..you need to disassemble it.
So..its almost impossible to get a gun...even for hunting or sport shooting.
As far as i know cops arent even always allowed to have their "work-guns" at home..only military people..not even all of them.
And we have like maximum of 10 people getting shot in the whole country every year.

90% of all shootings are done by criminals...so if we had like a death punishment for people going out with guns or knifes(any weapon)..and the cops had the right to shoot to kill when they saw someone with a gun ...the problem would be solved.

1] carrying guns is already illegal in most states, you can only be in law enforcement. call me crazy but i dont think killers care about gun laws.

2] this 'sniper' rifle is a hunting rifle. well, its one of the possible guns. the others are assault rifles. if its just a hunting rifle, you wont have as much support [if any] banning them as you would if it was a fully automatic assault rifle.

a crazy plays 'shoot 'em up' and anti-gun activists come out the woodwork. still too early for anyone to start pushing agendas

I believe COPS DO have right to shoot to kill when they see someone with a gun. At least in New York they have the right. Thats why you hear news like some kids getting shot cuz they had toy gun.

IF nobody made guns this mother fucker wouldn't have shot those people. SUre I guess he could have made one or something but I don't think he is smart enough to make one. If you don't have any guns then crazy people actually have to come up to you to do something.
