    Default 8850 Display ?

I have just got myself another 8850 but when the backlight is on (in a dark room) the contrast is as dark as the operator logo.

Can anything be done to it to lighten up the background.

    Many thanx for any replies.

    Hi,

Try a program called NK Profile. Made by Mike Bradley (Same as LogoManager). If you need it, email me.
If that fails, open it up and try repositioning the screen.

    Regards

Cheers RudeYute, tried the Nk Profile but it didn't seem to improve it much, so off to the local repair shop for me as I don't really want to open it up coz the best tools that I've got are my trusty (or rusty is more to the point) jammer and chisel.

But Iwas thinking of getting some ultra blue led's put in so this might improve the display ? ?

The LED's are bright enoguh, so no point really.
A new screen should sort it though.

Yes i would take the screen out and clean the rubber contact block and screen/board contacts with something like nail varnish remover and a cotton wool stick........
