how could i setup my cctv system to record on PC?

    Hi everyone.

I'm looking use my dormant P2 system to record composite signals from my cctv camera (on the car) through a tv card and record it direct onto hard disc.

What software would I need to timestamp and record a good 5 hours worth of video.

How much hard drive space would this use? I could easy upgrade the hard drive.

    Thanks

    Peter

you could try using a program called gotcha it allows you to hook up a camera and record moving objects only so if nothing moves nothing is recorded

    try here www.gotchanow.com

another is called iuvcr this allows you to use various codecs ie divx or mpeg and record on the fly but it doesn't time stamp

    try here www.iulabs.com

    hope this helps..
