    Default Grabbing images

    Hi

Can anyone suggest a good program to use to grab images from DVD?

Is it possible to use the screen grab from Paint Shop Pro 7 to grab an image when media player is playing it?

Hi growler - the best thing to do mate is - Full screen your your DVD - Hit pause then hit the Print Screen key (just above 'Insert') then crank up Paint Shop Pro or whatever graphix app you use then open a new doc and paste the image into the doc.

I full screened the image and pressed prnt scn - but when i pasted it - no joy - I had the outline of media player - even though i had full screened the bugger!

There was no image there that i had tried to grab!

Do u know if power DVD will allow copying to clipboard?

Wow thats well weird - I've just tried it here and got the same result ;( I thought that the good old prt scr would capture anything that was being displayed? Guess Not!

Sorry mate - not sure of what else to suggest you could try Adobe Premier - yet thats a really fat app. to use just to grab the images...

Someone else reading may be able to help you mate?

    Good Luck,

I dont know about media player but powerdvd will do the same thing you just have to change the settings in the advanced options from clipboard to file and then it'll save the picture and then open it in your paint program

Tried Power DVD on the laptop at work and it seemed to have a wonderful button "copy Frame" on clicking it I could paste an image into another app (word in this instance).

If I had known all along - I'd have got Power DVD on this machine at home!

    What a donkey.

    Cheers for you help guys!

No doubt be posting more rantings in the future - after all - changing the case at chrimbo - so lots of room for sad questions!
