Nintendo Of Europe head of P.R Shelly Friend has spoken for the first time about the "megaton" announcement rumors.
Shelly branded the claims as "complete rubbish" and had obviously been rather amused at all the theories that put the Roswell incident to shame.

they told "exactly" the same thing when everyone was suspicious about rare being sold to MS ..
I can see what your saying but the sale of Rare could have been seen as a bad thing for nintendo - I am not saying it is or isnt but its not news they would want out untill is was completely necessary. This is good news and surely they would want it out for christmas sales etc.

I read today that capcom announced that there was no nintendo merger/buyout on the books either....
