    Hi,

You seem pretty sure that the phone is stolen.
If you take it to CPW, they will NOT carry out any work on it, if it is barred. You may even need proof of purchase, depending upon store.

They by law, can't take your phone off you I don't think, but they can contact the police and let them know of it, and they CAN take the phone off you. That's an extreme case, but it's possible... most staff are too lazy to bother.

If you need it flashing, send it to someone else (less professional). You could even do it at home with a bit of knowledge and the right gear, but I suggest you send it to someone else to do.

    Regards

You'd need the unlocking logger, and an account on it (Price varies depending on server). Mail me if you need any help on where to get one.
Along with the T28 cable you'll need the flash file, and your PC must be able to use the com port cable at the same time as being connected online.

A bit of hard work for a newbie, but there's a step by steop available.

NOTE - Doing it at home will stop the bluetooth from functioning!

    Regards

also is this a common problem with a t68?
as i shouldent just freeze like this?

    I charge £15 inc P&P, so £20 is reasonable I guess.
Although, they will most probably use the same method, so if you don't mind the bluetooth not working then go for it.

No, it's not common they freeze like that.

    lol, knew that was coming.

It's a communications device so that your phone can communicate with PC's and other objects.

If you don't know what it is, then I doubt you'll miss it.

Not in the case of that little round thingy that connects the ABS to my brakes apparently

Seriously Rude (sorry to jump on the thread jj) is bluetooth (makes my teeth hurt when I type it) ever likely to really take off for mere mortals like me - in that I mean people that are not super-technophone bods ? Or has it already taken off and me and jj are the only people not using it :erm

Well, I was amazed at the amount of people who are using bluetooth dongles with their PC's and phones to communicate.
The main reason is cos the one dongle works with many models, like IR does.

And it's more recognised now too.

I personally only use Bluetooth to see other phones and swap notes between them (phone memory etc).

Flashing the T68 with the logger will stop the Phone from being found when searched for by another Bluetooth handset.

I'm not too good at explaining it, but if you do a search online you'll get the answer as to what Bluetooth is. We should soon be able to open and close our curtains using it!

    Regards

Hmm, could be, but I doubt it.
Simply using a datacable couldn't flash the bluetooth properly.
That's why EMMA II is used (I have the dongle but not the Service Card)

However, if you have a T68i flash like that (English one pref) please do email me it and I'll give it a whirl. Zip it up (or even better RAR) though pls.

    @rudeyute
I can get hold of service cards for emma2 but thats kind of pointless at the moment as you need to log on to the ericsson service site to top them up, im doing a deal with someone to get hold of the standalone flasher/unlockers at a decent price and will let let you know if you like, the flash file you want is 4mb so i will break down to 1mb rars and send to you.

BTW - emma 2 uses standard tx rx data comm protocol to communicate with the phone same as a data cable the service card is used to authorise flash and unlock commands.

    Cheers

Rudeyute you were right about bluetooth failures Just spoke to a friend and he told me theres quite a few people who have lost it due to online flashing I didn`t realise there were so many, the reason is because there are two different types of flash chipset used in the t68 and whats in one t68 might not be the same flash as another, although the flash file I have seems to be ok as I have had no probs, i will send it over to you asap.
