Alright all ,

i am looking for a new web site host and a new domain name for my site.
can any one recomend any good ones?
one with unlimited bandwith
dont need much else just a basic host

No such thing as unlimited bandwith mate and if I were you I wouldn't trust anyone advertising this. If you really do need a lot of bandwidth it might be worth getting your own server from the likes of www.rackshack.net they offer 400gigs for $99 per month. If you dont need that much bandwidth i've heard good things about:

What type of content do you intend to host?

A lot of providers don't allow warez, porn etc.

it is just a personal web site that have few jokes , and mad stuff to do no war$z stuff or porn for that mater

IF your site is small in size you may not need great amounts of bandwidth.
I am hosting my own trial site http://www.thesman.co.uk using Web-Mania at the minute. For �23.50 (per YEAR not month)you can't go wrong.
I would recommend http://www.123-reg.com/ for purchasing domain names, about �6 for.co.uk for 2 years.

If you want a domain name how about something like
MadRyan.co.uk

The best way to search for available names I know of is to

register with http://www.123-reg.co.uk/ (its free)
Log in to the site
go to "Order new domain names"
check the name you want to register.

When you do this it will give you other TLD's as well that are available.e.g.

madryan.uk.com
madryan.uk.net
madryan.gb.com
madryan.gb.net
madryan.eu.com
madryan.me.uk
madryan.co.uk
madryan.org.uk
madryan.com
madryan.org
madryan.net
madryan.info
madryan.biz
madryan.cc
madryan.tv

If your original .co.uk wasn't available you might get .net etc.
.co.uk .me.uk and .org.uk are cheapest (5.16 +vat for 2 years)

You can have a name and hosting for about 50p/week, not bad if only to have your own personal email addresses etc.

I gave www.ukhost4u.com a go, they advertise unlimited mysql dbs, bandwidth etc for only 30 quid a year.

What they didn't mention was the daily downtime, and the piss poor excuse for support
