Telewest Cable TV problem.

Hi,

I first got cable installed via cable london, with 2 set top box's, after a year had 1 box removed, a few years later had blueyonder installed, they put a splitter on the line in my room (that had the cable box remove), one for the surfboard and one for the tv.

The signal to the tv works fine if its direct **ie plugged directly into the tv**, if i wire via a video tho the signal is fine, until i switch to the video channel on the tv, the signal is REALLY BAD.

could be cross modulation

Try changing the RF output on the video then retune your tv to the video

cheers 4 the reply, by rf modulation..... the only way i can see how to do this is via the POT on the back... it still wont clear, just a tiny bit better.

try watching the video through a scart lead, if this works ok then your problem is your video channel siting on the same freq as something else IE sky, cable, dvd player.
