creating the patitions?????

ok got no reply to this post in the hdd tutorial section so i thought i would put it here hoping for an answer....iv been readin the doc's u got on here as i just got my xbox installed with the X-cutor 2 pro and wanted to put in a bigger hdd,now i read the guides on here and i have got the xbox hooked up to the pc,using flashfxp,evo dash/bios etc...80gig drive that i zeroed with prepa1.3 and backed up c and e of the original drive in the xbox to the pc.....now...... i think im pretty sure on how it all goz,or maybe i dont,lol...neway i dont understand how to make the 6 partitions on the new drive....i c every1 sayin send
a raw command the 6 patitions etc.. to format them on the new drive with flashfxp....but how do i make the 6 partitions on the new drive so i can format them and set it all back up again.....maybe it is there as plain as day but for some reason i just dont c where or how to make them.....do u use flashfxp by addin 6 folders and then send the commands or is it another way or am i just missin the whole point.....neway ne help will be greatfull and man.....xbox rocks!!!!!!....THANKUfor urtime....Aaron

You've really got 2 options, boot up evoX from a cdrw/dvdr and do it through the FTP interface.

Full instrutions here, easy as pie, just send a formatpath and a formatdrive command for each partition

The other option is to download the slayer evoX installer, which will install evoX prep & format your drives and install some default apps for you in just 2 button clicks

ok so u r sayin if i get the slayer installer(which i found on the net) put in the new zero'd 80gig hdd into the xbox and just simply put in the slayer disk in the xbox and it will start to put every on there for me.....as in set the 6/7 patitions,format them and add a few little apps or roms etc.... very cool....i just have 1 more question b4 i try it,i got the slayer in rar form and not an iso,so my question is how do i burn it do cd-wr?????,thanks _Belial for ya help,i also am checkin out the link u posted but sounds like the slayer is the way to go,just not sure how to burn it to disk?

The slauyer install is dead easy and I dont think you have to zero the entire drive either, just the first 4096 bytes or something, but I did the entire drive anyway just to be safe.

You should get a tool like xISO or xboxIsoMaker and just make a .iso file out of the directory struture you un-rarred then use any burning tool to burn it to cdrw.

If you dont have DHCP on your network/router you need to check and edit the .ini file in the rar to give it a static IP you can access too, but not neccessery really since once it's installed evoX you reboot and you can change the IP anyway.

Seroiusly all dead easy, make an iso, and yer away.

: ty ty ty ty ty very much _Belial for all ur help,i found the xISOv1.5 ....also found a few versions but when i click on the xISO icon to launch the proggy,i get the followin error,and this is with all versions i tryed....

Access violation at address 00000000.Read of address FFFFFFFF.


but.................
how ever the proggy still loaded up,i told it to make an xiso and pointed to the folder i unzipped the Slayer rar(without the pdf guides of course)it made the iso in under 30sec's (very very easy),burnt the iso with nero and tryed to look at the files on the disk,but the disk was empty(i read this is a good sign) so through it into the xbox and it booted straight away with no probs,saw 3 options so all looks cool,i will give it a shot when i get some sleep as i have been readin up on the slayer installer all night,once again ty very very much as u have saved me a lot of time and frustration
