Copying?

Will copying a game from a dvd-rom and burning with a dvdrw not work? Like an exact copy with clone or something?

cant be done m8, that is if you are talking about an original game and not a backup

clue, look for evo-x, although you prob already know this and just want an easy option of disc to disc copy, which would be nice like

well if you dont ask m8 you never learn, i have learned s hitloads of stuff off the DF in the past.

i remember when i was a newbie with 2 posts and asked for a pic of the enigmah fitted, i was atttacked along the lines of shut the **** up and stop ****in asking for a shitty ****in picture, at the time i thought it was pretty dam hostile and it nearly put me off coming back.

but now i couldnt live without the place

Thanks for the reply, I just never could figure out why not but i was reading somewhere about the special encoding that the laser needs and a regular DVD burner wonter do it. Thanks though. And what a great moderator!!!

Yep you cant just copy them coz i beleive they are on discs very like the dvd movies which are DV9 and DV5 discs, so like you cant just put in a dvd film and do a straight copy of it, the xbox game discs themselves are similar to the movies, i put one in me dvd rom and it was showing the size as 13gig, although we know the game itself is nowhere near that size.

so if you can get your head around evolution-x m8 and have a dvd burner then you CAN copy your originals, all you to is connect your xbox to your pc via a network card, then use an ftp program like flashfxp and transfer the files from the xbox dvd drive to your pc, then once they are on your pc they WILL fit on a blank DVD disc, then you can just burn and play.

Yes m8 most of them are 13 meg

BUT when i first installed evolution-x i was renting a few out the vid shop and one of them deffo did say 13gig m8 honest, i cant remember what game it was tho but it honestly said 13gig

has anyone else seen any that show up as 13 gig, as i feel like a big fat liar now LOL
