can laser be adjusted

having trouble reading backups ....originals work ok, backups are ok on friends dreamcast , can the laser be adjusted or any other fix , thx in advance

yeah on the laser assembly there is a small metal screw. It's kinda just below the actual laser, at the front on the black lump. Not a great description I know, but you should be able to find it, if not do a search on google.

If it's reading originals and not backups then give it one quarter turn or so to the right.
