Cheap-ish ADSL Modem/Router and connection

Hi

I am looking to buy an ADSL modem which i can share between my PC and laptop and figured that the best way to go is with a combined modem and router but do not want to pay too much cash!

Does anyone have any suggestions?!

I did come accross this

does anyone have one?!?! is it any good?!

Also i was looking at Virgin.net for the adsl connection dues to it not having a 12month contract! has anyone used this?! any good?!? would it be easy to set up with a modem other than the "frog" modem they recommend?!?!

Any help much appreciated!

don't get the frog there are numerous problems with it.

i wouldnt want the frog anyway as its USB and i wanna share the connection between my 2 machines

The D-Link 504 has had good reviews:

Know a couple of people with these and they are fine..

The problems with the Alcatel USB SpeedTouch are all down to the drivers - I found 1.3.4 / 1.4 were the most stable but they'd cause blue screens when using P2P software (that's why I stopped using DC++)... 1.6 and above were supposed to have fixed the P2P problems but they caused disconnection problems for me...
