    Default Spoof SMS

Does anyone know how to spoof a text message..

Ive found a website that does it.... but they charge 50p, and i found a palm os software....

SMS spoof uses a dialup connection to an EMI/UCP compatible SMSC.
Use this application with a modem connected to the Palm (e.g. an
IR link to a GSM phone with a built in modem).

It has been tested with Telenor's SMSC in Norway at 90002198,
but should work with any SMSC supporting the EMI/UCP protocol as
long as no authentication is required.

Characters not in the character set specified in the EMI
specification will be converted to spaces.

The latest version of SMS spoof and source code can be found
    at http://www.waste.org/~terje/palm/SMSspoof/

SMS spoof is released under the GNU General Public License.

Now only if it could be converted to work thru mbus/fbus!!!

www.e-tones.co.uk and www.spookysms.co.uk are two sites which offer the same service.

Doesnt software coded using GNU General Public License have to have the source code released or am I thinking of something else? If its the one im thinking of then by law they have to release their source. Anyone confirm if I am right in thinking this?

Sorry Ive just noticed they have released teh source for the program . Is there anyone that can work out how its being sent?
