hi..ok this question has probably already been answered, but how do i get free name and web space?? who actually owns it? if they have the names to sell how do they get them? basically my g/f wants me to set a site up for her, and i want to do it as cheap as possible, also how do i go about setting it up to accept credit card payments?

any help would be appreciated!

wouldnt bother with a cc system. just use paypal or some other system where the user leaves your site and pays on another site and comes back.

proper cc systems you see on amazon etc are run on ssl with a payment gateway to the cc merchant which requires a) knowledge and b) full access to the server for adding mods etc it cant be done from some free webspace.
