Default Guide to finding your IRD number

here's a quick guide to finding your IRD number from the information in the engineers menu on your STB.

Boot the box into the engineers menu: unplug the power cable, hold down the up and down buttons on the front of the box and plug the cable back in.

This is where the procedure differs depending on which type of STB you have. Flip to page 2 of the engineers menu. You should see either 'Nagra Serial Code' or 'Nagra IRD Serial Code'.
'Nagra Serial Code' is an 8 digit number whilst 'Nagra IRD Serial Code' is a 12 digit number. Not sure on this but i think you only get the 12 digit number if your card has been switched off.

If you have the eight digit number in the format XX XX XX XX, all you have to do is reverse the number to get your IRD.
    For example:
    Your 'Nagra Serial Code' is 12 34 56 78
    So your IRD number is 78 56 34 12
most of you allready know this information up to now.

If you have the 12 digit number in the format XX XXXX XXXX XX, the procedure is a bit more complicated:
okay this is how i did it, 12 3456 7892 34.. ignore the last 2 numbers ie34 open windows calc , tick decimal box, put in 1234567892 convert to hex and reverse , for this example the answer is d4 02 96 49

hehe, I only just realised that STB stands for set top box. There's probably not much hope for me.
