Got my m8's xbox chipped - Have a Query
my xbox is a V1.0 chipped with the Xectutor 2, when i turn on the xbox I get the M$ logo and underneath it says Xecutor2. I got my m8's Xbox chipped, with the Xecutor 2 so the guy that chipped it says, my M8's xbox is a V1.1, but it does not say Xecutor 2 at the bottom.
The guy who chipped mines, did my m8's as well, so I do trust him.
is this normal for one xbox to have xecutor2 on the loading screen and another not to have it.

Well it must say xecuter.
So there can be serveral problems:
1) The jumpers on your chip aren't correctly installed. Remember to set the bios jumper and the modchip enable jumper!
2) The d0 point isn't soldered properbly which means the xbox boots his original bios
ive tested his xbox m8 and everything seems fine, copies boot fine, evox runs fine, ftp is fine, multiregion dvd playback is fine.
if it does develop a problem then he can always take it back to the shop that chipped it.
Does you mates box have any logo under the XBOX one ?
The logo is dictated by the bios that is on the modchip.
im fairly sure the logo comes up on both versions
Open the xbox and see if its a x2, should be pretty obvious cos otherwise it may be a cheapmod or whatever
If back-ups boots fine it must be the bios.

in the area of the screen where mines says xecutor 2, his says Microsoft.
You can change what's displayed there by modifying the mod chip bios (XBtool etc) and reflashing it. Why the installer would have done this i'm not sure. But hey, if it works, fine.

open the box n check i say.

it`s prolly a cheapmod with a hacked bios...........only way he can tell is by openin the box itself and lookin

As it's running backups and unsigned code U could try a bios checker if you've not got a T20 screwdriver.
