I'm really pleased Heskey scored last night. He was by far the best Liverpool player last night. The team look much better with him playing upfront !, it's a shame Owen did't convert what Heskey built up for him.

A very well taken goal - and an entertaining game (if not nail biting).
I think that Heskey would be a good centre back after watching him recently, he seems to spend most of his time defending!

Thats what Heskey is all about. He chip's in with everything and he is a true team player. He does not score much goals but he makes up in other ways. Also he is not selfish and creates for other when he should take a chance and score for himself.Originally posted by gunner

True. Allot of Liverpool fan's give him stick, but it is only the true fans that can see his real value ro the club.

i would keep him over owen any day of the week.
to be honest, i would rather have les ferdinand at Anfield then owen.
Owen is showing in almost everygame he plays just what a burden he is to Liverpool football club.

Heskey was your best striker and defender last night.........I slag him for falling over but he gives it his all.... more than Owen at moment, he looks greedy to me , few chances last night where I thought he could square it and he dribbled up his own arse (old Giggs memories come to mind).....
heskey is playing well at the mo and i hope it continues ,as for owen well,he has 20 bad patches a season or maybe there not bad patches maybe he's just sh@#e would be better playin douglas barder upfront .then again far 2 many average players at liverpool at the mo .have been a red fan for 30 years and cant remember a team with no idea how to break teams down.gerrard back in for is good but murphy has been outstanding this year never used to like him but im a convert now
