    Xbox Games for Kids ?

Having just secured a suitably prepared Xbox I am looking at what software is avaialble.

What would members recommed as good for kids ( 8 years old)?

A lot of what I have seen seems to be for older kids (and very old kids )

Also is it worth getting stuff thats also on the PS2? Is it any better on the Xbox?

    wadaya say?

There are a few good games for little people. Try Shrek, Fuzion Frenzy, Antz racing.

The platform itself does seem to be keyed at the older generation of gamers as there are a lot of games that kids just really couldnt play eg Splinter Cell or Ghost recon.

Another good one to go for may be time splitters 2. There is no blood and having watched my two cousins play (10 and 8) they both really enjoyed it.

The comparrison is a hard one to do, as i dont own two of the same games for multi platform. I would have thought that the xbox versions would have graphical improvements over its PS2 counter part.

    Cheers

yes, the games are the same games but the graphics are better, as in crash bandicoot, id rather play it on the xbox than the ps2.

if i have the same game on ps2 and xbox i ALWAYS play the xbox version.

you should investigate on each game, (don't get crash for ps2 there's around 5 min loading and that will sure put a dent in how fun it is) it's a lot quicker on the box,

Yes most ports from PS2 are better on the xbox. I am a HUGE gamer got the PS2 as soon as I could find one when it launched 2 years ago. Reserved my xbox almost 2 years in advance. Tony hawk 3 hit PS2 first so had to get it and when it was launched on Xbox had to get that 2 since you could listen to your own tracks and they had xbox exclusive extra characters and slight graphic improvment. Metal gear solid is A prime example of how the xbox version just blows the ps2 version out of the water.

mgs? that i'd have to disagree upon, a bit of a sloppy port, no real graphical improvements and there's even slowdown at a few bits.

Substance is coming to the ps2 sometime soon though.
