does anyone know where i could get some mother boards
any version 1.0 . or .1.1
i have a couple of machine that idiot have try to put mod chips in with a plumbers solder iron..lol

how you gonna get round the password issue m8, just curious as the board and the hard drive from each box are married, so if the boards are fried how ya gonna get the password from the drive.

he wants to buy NEW motherboards and use the drives from the old xboxes

well i thought that the old drives wont work with the NEW boards as they have different passwords IE married

so come on, have i lost it again then or wot.

isnt this an age old issue or has it been sorted now

there ya go then sorted, i just assumed you ment retail xbox hard drives m8 and not a bigger one you want to put in.

what size is the new drive your putting in.

there was a site i posted long ago who claimed to sell them but they never had any in stock, in an email they said to me they only sell the board with the drive for that passsword reason.

if i find the site m8 ill email and ask them if they have got any for ya

Config Magic Beta 2 will unlock the HDD for you without the password. However, you still need to try and boot from the DVD drive somehow.

see i didnt know this when i asked him how he was gonna get round the password issue, i hadnt seen nowt about it so obviously i thought it still wasnt possible to unlock the drive without the password which needed the original board.
