That error usually occurs on an NT/2000/XP machine when it cannot find the NTLDR file which is required at bootup. Is this your normal drive you're using?. And have you tried to upgrade to 2000/XP?

You may get away with just booting off a CD / floppy to a DOS prompt and replacing the boot record with 'fdisk /mbr'

If that fails you could try the 'sys a: c:' command...
Go shagging in Prague or live it large in Vegas !!

I dont understand why but by changing the boot sequence to
C only seems to have worked.

Sound's like there is a floppy disk in the drive and it's trying to boot off that.

You'd be suprised but that is quite a common problem
