Its a crying shame - I managed to get one of the last from currys in November for �99 - thankyou Biggy7s for that tip - and its fanstatic. I am hoping they will release a new model this year in the UK but I havent found any info about it yet so its not going to be anytime soon. Tivo's still appear on Ebay from time to time or you could try finding people who repair them on the web and see if any of them have 2nd hand stock.

Someone in my work here said a mate of his bought one from this lot a few days ago. Haven't called them myself though so it could be bs.

TiVo not pulling out of UK completely, still providing service and repair to subscribers, lets hope another manufacturer picks up the rights to make the Series 2 for the UK.

MajorFU, it might be worthwhile checking this thread from time to time to see if there are any bargain TiVos available.

I bought one from Currys online for �94 (�99 less �5 discount voucher) at the end of last year and it's quickly become a favourite piece of kit. Even Mrs abarthman has figured out how to use it!

I now wish that I'd bought more than one, but I've not seen any at a similar bargain price for ages. They're selling for silly money (�200+) on Ebay now.

I'll try to remember to post here if I ever manage to find a bargain, though.
