Ha HA HA XBMP 2.3 ROCKS!

Hi all i got xbmp 2.3 today and i thought (hmm windows media player 9 sucks , lets see what hapens when i drag the dll folder into system32 of winxp" and it atually fixed my windows media player

It couldn't play anythign and now it plays EVERYTHING

copy all files from the folder "DLL" to the windows "SYSTEM32! folder

these dll's must contain the codecs then?! Ive had loads of bother getting the XVID movies/codec to run right on my PC but they've always run sweet on the XBOX.

Im gonna give your suggestion a try purely out of curiosity coz at the end of the day nearly all of my movie watching is done on my XBOX now....

2.3 is doing my head in, ive got it on the xbox and it loads with the 2.0 boot screen, then when i go to load a movie file i get a list of folders then i cant click into them or nothing. so ive gone back to 2.0 as i find it the most stable on my xbox.

OK the 2.0 on the load screen is normal all version from 2.0 onwards have this, its not been updated.

Second - what are your settings in the Config.XML - post them as maybe your havent set them correctly.

there's a new type of config, use the config model that came with 2.3 and make adjustments on that.

Thought so - you do actually have to set them to your personal setup. Is your PC setup to 192.168.1.2 and all your media on the s:\ drive ?

you need to set up the lines that refer to your media correctly for this to work.

I stream the media to my PC using Relax and hence I have setup Relax to share 3 folders - one for Movies. MP3's and Pictures.
My PC is set to 192.168.0.1 hence my XBMP setup is

e.g
NOTE I HAVE HAD TO REMOVE ALL GREATER AND LESS THAN SIGNS TO POST THIS!!!

its the same for the movies except it is
