well I looked on isonews but not much help. I wasn't really looking for a list, just wanted to know if anybody knew of any games that could be backed up on 1 cdr-w? I know Ghost recon can but does anybody know of any others? If any body knows of any other's, please send me a pm or post it please. I would appriciate it.

if you look on isonews m8, it tells you which ones are cd rips when you look at the names of the games

If it's finding out which games in their original state will fit on CDr-w then isonews may well not help as they've often had either down-sampling or other size reduction applied before release.

SO if I'm right what you're after is people to post and say which games they've managed to back-up onto CDr-w or CDr themselves yeh ?

I was asking ppl pretty much to post what they have backed up on 1 cdr-w. What I mean buy "1 cdr-w" is well I tried to backup halo and the game was to big to backup on one cdr-w. I am sure it would work on a dvdr-w. And what I was wondering is if anybody backuped any games on a single cdr-w. Hope im not confussing anybody. But basicly what I am asking is for you to post what games have any of you backuped on "1 cdr-w". Thanks for your replys again fellus.

you can backup Halo mulitplayer onto CDRW by removing all the single player maps and demos - but I dont think this is what you are asking about.

I havent done any other games after I got the DVD burner.

If a game can be put on a CD, it tends to be mentioned in the .NFO. You can also take a guess from the number of rars that form the archive. (At a guess I would say about 10x50 should fit on a CD.)

thanks for all the info, I am learning a lot from you guys. I know pretty much everything except backing the games up. I don't know if its my media I am using or what. I am using a memorex cdr-w. I used that to put the evox on and it worked fine. So I figured it would work with backups. SO I tried Ghost recon and no go yet. I don't know if its the media or just how im doing it. I make an Iso using alcohol then burn with alcohol also. I have also used Nero and that seemed to get the best so far. It showed the evolution x green load up screen and thats it. But when I used Acohol it does nothing. doesn't even say that the xbox can't read this cd. So not sure what my mistake is. Can any one help me with this problem please. Me and my buddy are about to pull our hear out figuring this out.

Appreciate any info on this subject.

try using nero or primo dvd m8, you might get better results, ive never used alchohol to do an xbox game

Primo dvd? don't you have to buy that? I wish I did have Primo I've heard a lot about it. I've tried Nero, no go. Hmm I just don't understand it. Thanks for the reply anyways freaky.

thanks for the suggestion fe_man2000. I will keep that in mind. Right now I have it backed up on my box. But I might try that so I can have a backup of it on a cdr-w.

why dont you like being called a rookie, its better than the name i had when i started m8, i was a NEWBIE LOL.

LoL yea I think I like rookie better lol No I haven't tried it yet. Been on here reading up on stuff and learning. Haven't had a chance to reboot yet. And plus I got my computer networked to my wifes and she is on there doing her stuff, so I have to wait before I can reboot otherwise it will knock her off. And we don't want to do that now do we?

OK guys
I read this post with interest as I dont have a DVD writer at the mo'.
However I do have CD writer & Nero etc and am trying to get hold of games - which is where I have problems.
Go to alt. etc get 20 or so files then it stops during the early hours. Try to find remainder & nothing all gone next day so incomplete.
Anybody got advice on this.
