    OUCH £5.99 a MONTH

    Sega & Nintendo have announced the cost of Phantasy star online will be £5.99 a month (first month will be free), that gets a little pricey if we are expected to pay a load of seperate subscriptions for every individual game, even make xbrick dead seem cheap

    add to that the cost (£65) of the keyboard and its over £100 for the game + kbd then another £6 a month to play it.

    IT'S TOO EXPENSIVE NINTENDO

    pso maybe worth it, but is zoocube online? or monkeyball online? or resident evil online? or final fantasy 13? or mario kart?, how many online games are coming out? how many will you subscribe to? 10(£60/month)?

    Just how much are you prepared to pay for your online gaming?

    this sets an expensive precedent

    I think they are even making xbox live subscribers pay an additional fee to play PSO.

    its true they do charge £4.50/month on the xbrick for pso, however that is a one off and not the first game. this is the first EVER gamecube game that has been online surely if they werent being greedy *******s it would have been better to make it free like all the early xbrick stuff to try to attract people to buy the modem/bb adaptors, dont forget that although it only costs around £35 for either adaptor in the rest of the world we are getting charged £70 for the same thing

    well , online gaming isn't mature enough according to nintendo , so it's not that surprising that big N doesn't make any effort to attract gamers with their online titles !

    Maybe it was discussed before, anyway: is it possible to play PSO I&II [US/NTSC] by connecting to US servers, if I live in Europe? I got US GameCube. What about fee - isn't it restricted to US gamers?

    its possible to play pso on a pal cube with freeloader and an american bb adaptor, you need a cc to buy the online passport each month though (at least thats what i was told)

    No problem with cc, still pricey though:
    1. PSO I&II (import);
    2. Broadband adapter (import (will Japanese adaptor work on US Cube))?
    3. Keyboard (import);
    4. Monthly fee.

    1) pso $40
    2) $40 (yes all the same unit)
    3) $65
    5) $less than uk charge but allow for cc conversion rates

    Thanks for calculations. Don't want to be negative, bet I heard several bad references about Lan-kwei services. To put it simple - I don't trust then. And they don't accept cc too (PayPal isn't available in my country, Western Union & bank transfer = too expensive).

    must say i've not had a problem and you are the first i've heard say they had trouble, i know a few on here have used them before, dvdboxoffice on the other hand however cc will be taken once they get all the merge/move stuff over with (or should be)
