retrieving the boxkey

hi im a bit confused about the boxkey and retreving it.
do i need the orginalcard wid the (ntl/telewest) box?
if so what cable to i use to connect my box to the pc
ive got the program but pretty much stuck here

you need a box with a matched card, a programmer (http://www.maxking.co.uk) the id progger is spot on at £25 delivered. you then connect via the cable supplied from the above url. then in nagra edit or boxgetpc2 extract your info and take it from there.

sorry for being dumb but can u retrieve all the keys from the box by connecting via serial cable and running boxgetpc2 or Nagra?

I thought u used them progs with a programmer to read details off a rom card.

which is where your boxkeys are. Dont want to sound funny but there are many many tutorials regarding this so please read them
