RS232 Interface HELP!

Hi,

Ive heard from some people that there is a much easier way to maiing the rs232 interface for the boxes that have no rs232 ports on the back. Like my 4000 N.

They have said its a lot lot simpler, and not as much soldering required.

Also does anyone have the config file to use with libdebug when using the rs232 interface.

Ive built up a normal rs232 interface as explained by tangoman and kiff in recent posts but getting comms error.

Maybe is me soldering. Not sure.

please help.

ignore comms errors for 4000 series and change the 4 to a in the set net id

have libdebug running before powering box

works for me

ive tried this but it doesnt work. Maybe my connections are wrong.

can someone tell me what the pin outs to the interface are. I want to compare it to the other previous ones.

Ive used tangomans version and one alled interface and one called plan and one called bodge.

Can someone confirm the oin outs?
