Default Upgrading Enigmah Chip To Matrix Chip

My friend has an Enigmah in his box, he is gonna upgrade it soon to a Matrix chip. I dont mess with the soldering stuff and neither does he so i wanna know is it possible to just install the Matrix chip while he still leaves the old Enigmah chip solderd to the xbox?

I was kinda thinking it would be ok since the old Enigmah-X chip is just a patch and the Matix running off an actual bios......would this be ok to do?

    Thx in advanced,

I dont think this is a good idea. The enighma chip patches the bios instead of replaces it. What is to stop it from patching the Matrix Bios as this is a replacement if you have both on at the same time ? If you want to disable it you can cut 2 of the wires - sorry I cant remember which two, do a search for disabling enighma to find which, instead of soldering - Remeer to support the wires very carefully if you do have to cut them and dont pull on them at all as they can lift the tracks out of the Motheroard if your not careful.

    cheers
