action replay for gamecube...please help

hi,

can someone out there offer me a little bit of advice on the following.

I have a jap gamecube with a switch fitted to it so i can play usa games on my ntsc tv.

i want to buy either ar or freeloader, but as the freeloader comes with ar, then i thought i should get ar.

The problem i have is if i bought the ar in this country (pal) would it work on my ntsc jap/usa machine?????

just wanted to know before i went out to pick a copy up.

As far as i know, you should be A-Ok to use an AR with your machine. The AR comes preloaded with a variety of cheats, but you can select the region of the game you are using the cheats for, Jap, US, Eur so in theory all you would need to do is select the region your cube is switched to, and use that regions cheats. And when you wanted to use UK games, use the freeloader feature.

I Think thats right. Anyone care to confirm what i have said? ABCMan?

yes it works I have an uk freeloader on my us machine
and it works 100% perfect
also the ar works 100% so it will work

i'll confirm too ar + f/l both work on all cubes

HOWEVER (oh come on you knew there would be one

) a few pal games play in b&w on ntsc systems for some unknown reason (but not major ones, i posted a link to a site that listed the "problem" games)

AR works on my Q, but I need to get an RGB Q Scart lead to see uk games in colour. Can anyone recommend a supplier? I've been quted around the �50 mark (US/Jap double header scarts don't work on the Q as it has no analogue out on the back).
