What do you mean by they are expensive & offer 'poor bandwidth' exactly?

12.5 GB a month, your own SMTP & POP3, and all the other crap that goes with it for £70 a year is hardly expensive for a UK based host

Couple that with the fact that he has a real live telephone number which is answered instantly should you ever need support (none of this e-mail shit that the yanks seem to favour offering) and that in itself has to be worth the extra £17 a year difference on it's own.

Just as an example, one of the site's I manage had it's SMTP server throw a little fit not so long ago.
A quick call to the support guy, a few test e-mails sent while I was on the phone, guy tells me he thinks he knows what it is, calls me back within 1½ hours to tell me the fault is cleared.

Show me ANY of the slightly cheaper yankee hosts that will give you that kind of support
