Hi Folks!
As most of us know, the XBOX is capable to run on HDTV (for those who don't know: High Definition TeleVision).
Even some or (from what I've heard) most of the Games run at a higher Resolution if connected to a HDTV set.
Ok, you need the High Definition Pack for this, but who in Europe has a HDTV set anyway....
Now comes the big BUT:
Many out there have PC's (otherwise it'll be hard to read this Forum anyway... ) with Monitors capable of 1280x1024 or more...
Some of us (like me) even have a Video Beamer capable of 1024x768.
Now the big Question to all you Hardware Freaks out there:
Is there a way to make the XBox run on High Resolution on a PC Monitor or a High Resolution Video Beamer?
My Beamer, as most out there, has a VGA connector, a S-VHS and a Composite Video in.
As we all know, neither S-VHS nor Composite Video can handle a higher Resolution. And no Beamer I've seen out there has a YPbPr (=HDTV) input.
Is it possible and what Hardware do I need to connect the XBox to a PC-Monitor or Video Beamer and what Resolution is possible there?
I know that Lik-Sang sells a VGA Adapter box ($49) that connects the XBox to a VGA connector enabling 640x480 progressive instead of the 352x240 interlaced (on NTSC Boxes). But 640x480 is from what I know not HDTV.
Please bring some light into this... :cheese:
cheers!
