nokia 8210 problem

Hello,

i have myself a nokia 8210, keeps turning off now and then, not all the time but now and then, also when i recevied a call, after a minute or two it shut off, battery is full and phone is in good nick, whats the problem is it in need of a upgrade?

its version 5.29, i expect this is a common problem as 8210's have loads of faults?

The restarting could well be software problem (sw upgrade should sort that).
You say when oyu get a message, the phone goes off. If instantly as you go to read the text, then it needs a new screen, as that was known problem.

If it wasn't instantly when you read it, then might just be software problem.

i put the latest software on it, and it seemed to be ok, so i think that done it, also used hot air on the coppa on top of the board, ive been able to listen to the top up line without it shuttting off or loosing signal!
