WTD: uk payg to use in france

hi there, im after a payg simcard which will give me the cheapest calls in france. calls would mainly be to a french landline and never back to the UK. Ive researched a bit and o2 seem good but prehaps someone has one with discounted calls in FR ?

If not then some advise on which network are the best in europe. i know costs are stupidly expensive abroad AND on payg but obviously some network is gonna be better than another.

If your gonna be using it in France, phoning French landlines its worth investing in a French PAYG simcard...

There are loads about... My parents live in Paris so while I'm there I use an SFR simcard... never had any problems.

Any mobile shop there will sell you a PAYG simcard just like here, and most retailers sell the top up cards...

If you're going to be in France for a few weeks or months or even if you frequent there often then I reckon your best bet would be to buy a French pay as you card when you're in France mate. Carphone warehouse sell European pay as you go cards I think so checkout what they have on offer and you might find it cheaper when you're in France.

I spend a lot of time in Sweden so I just bought a pay as you go card over here instead of using my UK Orange one as it works out so much cheaper.

the problem is it's 6months here and 6 months there. so its a toss up, gonna get shagged by one country so i thought i may as well get a uk one so i can actually ring them if i have probs etc.

i'll pop into carphone warehouse and see what they say though,
