    Adding more IDE devices

I want to have more than 4 IDE devices on my comp. I know that I can install a PCI card which will allow more devices to be added. I have seen various different 'types' of these boards advertised but I'm not sure which is suitable for my needs. I want to add individual devices with no requirement for RAID functions, however the RAID cards are often cheaper than a 'standard' IDE controller card, if I get a RAID card can i then use this ina 'normal' 4 (extra) individual device mode?

Any advice would be really appreciated.

Yes you can use a RAID card as a standard IDE controller (the option to configure the card is in the cards BIOS)
Understeer is when you hit a wall with the front of your car
Oversteer is when you hit the wall with the back of your car
Horsepower is how fast your car hits the wall
Torque is how far your car sends the wall across the field once you've hit it

You'll usually get drivers for the raid setup too - have to install these before xp will see the raid setup.

Think my board came with Hugitpoint RAID drivers or something like that.
