ive been using z\alarm for a while but its really doin me head in now and making my browsing a fecking nightmare so anything better?? i was gonna use norton,but ive always found that in the past norton stuff was a bit too?? embedded in your sys?? didnt like outpost\blackice so any ideas guys?

If you've got a really old PC lying around turn it into a router with linux, and use iptables as a decent firewall

I don't know if it'll make any difference but I use vers 3.5.166 (I think lol) of ZA with Outpost Pro and it seems fine aswell.

Might want to see if it's compatible with what you've got at www.smoothwall.org
Don't get me wrong though, you can get cheaper firewalls as the expensive one's are aimed at SME's to the larger enterprises..
Zyxel do a range of quality firewalls, check their website, I wouldn't mind one of their secure routers (the p652r)..
