    Default Losing weight fast

    I havestarted a new fitnes regeime.

    I go training 5 times a week, consisting of about an hour in the gym (mostly carsio vascualr) and about 20-30 minutes swiming. This is also running along side a healthy eating plan that i decided to stick to.

    Now concidering im a fat ******* how much weigt should i be losing every week? is it pissible to loose about 6 pounds a week everyweek.

    finaly i just got somthing called adios does anyone know if it works increasing the rate of motabalism?

    The reason im doing all this is im sick of being fat.

    You need to set yourself a target weight, that will make you feel good. a general workout 5 times a week is good, but try to vary it, get someone to go with you to motivate you or you might get bored. A good diet is essential plenty of low fat high protein foods. eat small portions regularly thoughout the day and drink plenty water. dont expect to loose 6 pounds a week cause you will end up just putting in back on, 1 or 2 pounds a week is enough to reach your target weight. do this and you wont need any fat burning suppliments.

    Your body fat is composed of two separate types, white fat and brown fat. Brown fat is used in emergency situations and accounts for 5-10% of your total body fat. When your cardio becomes extreme, your body interprets this as an emergency and utilises the brown fat.

    To target the white fat, which represents over 90% of your total fat stores you should exercise at a lower pace. Exercise at a pace that is difficult, but still comfortable enough to maintain a conversation at, albeit in a slightly modified pattern. Frequency and duration, however are of equal importance and you should maintain a regular cardiovascular training programme of 4-5 sessions per week at 30-40 minutes in duration to maximise your results.

    I tried ot work out the maximum amount of weight I could lose in a week , I'm on the Atkins Diet and have so far lost 3 and 1/2 stone.

    Even going to the gym every day and measuring the amount of calories you burn up per session and then eating the same amount per day (therefore you are running on 0 calories per day) you will only lose 1 lb max per day.

    AND ITS A KILLER TO DO IT!

    2-4 lbs a week is a realistic target to aim for. Be prepared to not lose anything per week every now and again though, as weight loss of that amount is easily affected by fluid retention, time of day etc....

    Just eat hard boiled eggs and dry toast. Discard the yolks. This diet has been used by the armed forces. You use more calories digesting it than what you get from eating it. Don't stay on it too long though or you will end up like lena zavaroni or however you spell her name?

    hey dude,

    i was going on 19 stone a year ago, i hit the gym twice every week day and basically starved myself of food for high calorie and fried food - i lost 3 stone and felt alot better about myself, i wouldn't recommend this at all though, the faster you get it off the easier it is to come back on you because your body doesnt adjust correctly when you start eating normal food again.

    hit the gym 3/4 times a week, stay away from fried food, that does mean chips! and just watch the calories you eat, maybe eat 2000 per day max? it should come off with that.

    im no export though so i could of just come up with the worst plan ever to lose weight

    btw, i'm roughly 15 1/2 (6ft 2") at the moment and i added muscle (which weighs more than fat) so i lost about 5/6 stone of pure fat using my method, but like i said it's hard to keep it off now.

    Im on weight watchers atm!!! (Great stuff) heres a basic rundown of my daily meals:

    Daily
    Cereal
    Milk or water
    (Dont drink tea!!! It actually drains more water from the body)

    Lunch
    Sandwich (Either tuna or chicken, packed with salad)
    Diet Coke/Pepsi (or any diet drink)

    Dinner
    Jacket potato with (grilled or steamed chicken/fish)
    Pasta
    Soup (any kind is fine, not rich in cream though)
    Pitta bread with salad (few spices in the salad and ud think it was kebab )

    Hunger cravings
    2-3 pieces of fruit
    Nutrigrain bar
    Piece of toast

    Kill those cravings
    Get lemon juice (2 tea spoons) mix with half a pint of water and drink it down - Makes u feel full in body (but your head still craves food?)

    Push yourself for a few days, get some will power and motivation at a high and you will be ready to kill that fat!!

    (Obviously i dont eat all of that in a day, different meals each day etc - mix and match kinda thing)

    Forgot to add!

    If i push myself (i.e - follow the routine completely) i loose 6-7 pounds a week (without exercise).

    I do exercise daily now though, biking, weights etc...

    Buy the book, read the first chapter then start the diet. I never bothered with he rest of it.

    Nope, just take a good multivitamin (holland and barret Athlete's formula, and a BIG jar of EPA fish oil tabs for the fatty acids).

    Stick with it, the drop in blood sugar hits you quite hard at first but you get used to it after a couple of weeks.

    Furthermore, the first 'official' study has been concluded and it is considered that is actually reduced the risk of heart disease, not cause it

    Oh, and I'm there for any moral support if you need it mate, it isn't easy.

    Wheres the best place to get these from.
    Will have to go shopping tomoz and fill me cupboards up with the right foods
    Also have u picked up any good tips .....have been reading the book for over an hour now and am starting to get a headache:oneeye:

    I've been doing atkins a week now and lost 1/2 a stone, without any hunger it's brill. After the first 2 weeks ou can even drink (in moderataion) on it. White wine vodka + more.
