What format are the files in?
bin and cue files , opened the cue file with cdrwin and burnt the image but the ps2 didnt recognise the disc. also used isobuster to extract the files from the bin file and used cdrwin to build and burn the iso file, ps2 recognised the disc but it wont boot.
M8, have you tried burning with Fireburner?
no i havn't, so im dowloading it now. see if i can make my coaster record into double figures
this has happened to me before, i think it may just be some of the releases, then again i could be totally wrong ,but the ones ive had that did this didnt work no matter what burning program i used.
king of route66 was one, tried everything and all i get is the memory card screen.
so has anyone else got this version of soul calibur this guy is trying to burn working.

Yes, I do. I used Fireburner and it worked fine. Been playing most of the day.

Burnt .bin\.cue using Fireburner and it work's. I have seen the problem before which you mentioned though. The games I had which did that would not work on my machine but would onothers. Another machine I tested it on was the same model number as mine and played it fine.

It happened to me with The Thing, Fifa 2003 and Socom Navy Seals. Very annoying as they work on other PS2's that I have tried. I was using quality media too.
I usually use NERO to burn .bin files - and it works every time, just make sure you select Mode2 before you burn. You could try CDMate as that works really well too.
As for Route 66 it works on mine but don't let the intro roll or the game will crash.

if u dont use a good *working* crack, cdrwin still works, but will give u coaster after coaster.
what version cdrwin u using?
actually m8 i use cdrwin 3.7b as this one has give me best results in the past, and it works for all the other ps2 games i burn m8.Originally posted by biggy7

try the rsiso version as well as there are 2 rips out
yeh, wat i was saying tho is that if u use a bad keygen, cdrwin still accepts the code, but will giv u coasters, i.e burn will be 100% successful, but the game wont work, if u get meOriginally posted by freaky
