Default Jurassic Park, patched correctly or not?

OK, i havent got my xbox atm as its having a switch installed. I gave a game (Jurassic Park) to a mate to try out as its my first game ive had to patch. I patched it with ADR patcher 0.5 and not the crack from the release group, as I didnt know how to apply a ppf patch to an xbe file.

MY mate has just lmk that the game booted but he got a dirty disc error, in the old jurassic park style writing. His machine has always been sh*t with most media, but does this mean that the games been patched and its just his machine, or its not been patched correctly and wont work in any machine?

    Cheers,

    Sam

it could just be that his xbox wont play that particular disc, and MAY work on yours.

as for the patcher m8 try the one that cr0w made if you have no luck with the other one.

get the patcher here m8, it can never hurt to try out a few of em

    PATCHER

the dirty disc error in the jurassic park style writing is weird tho, dont know what to make of that one tbh

The dirty disc error would come up for probably only two reasons.

    1. a bad burn. The xbox cannot read data from the disc.
    2. corrupt files on the dvdr.

Try reburning the game. The patch tool you have used is fine.

Also delete any save games that it made while originally loading up.

Nowt wrong with my ADR Patcher routine for that game, tested it meself on my Eingmah-X beta mod on a Ritek dye disc. Game boots and I've selected Operation Genesis and flown around a little. Game looks shit mind, so it will be heading to the bin probably with the rest of em.

In the past when I've had the 'dirty disc' message it's been down to poor DVDR media, I have a fussy drive, my box seems to only like Ritek dye or White Label (blue top, princo dye) but we had all these little problems back in the early day of testing with the beta mods.

Think you'll find all patching programs out there are removing the same media check in the xbe's throughout the image.

I like to use the ADR Patcher 0.5 as it's a pretty easy tool to use and I always write out DVDs using Prassi Primo DVD, some of the other programs seem to give cack results for some people.

np m8, only person I've seen with a problem with this title was someone wanting to play it off their Xbox HDD.

    Try Crow's patcher...

although I've just checked on ADR Forums and Retribution who is still using the X-Tender beta mod chip had this to say :

Jurassic_Park_Operation_Genesis_PAL_XBOX-RIOT 17x50 MB Used the ADR Patcher 0.5 - XBOX Media Check Fix and it detected 1 area that needed patching, patched it game works
He is a pretty reliable tester for us, so something is going right for some of us.

Let us know how you get on etc. What video mode is your mates Xbox set to? I'd be tempted to change the video mode using Enigmah's video mode tool, your friend may find it works if he changes his box from PAL to NTSC or vice versa.

Crows Patcher is exactly the same as ADR patch routine.

    Its not that.

People who have problems running games that freeze and they prove to be working of dvd/other ppl have something to do with corrupt files on the xbox. Or they ran the game unpactched and it caused a corrupt save.

The following asteps usually rectify the problem.

    1. First of all disable igr if in evox!
    2. Delete the files on the xbox.
    3. Delete any save games from the xbox hdd. I know you havent played the game... but the xbox does make the save files when loading u know!
    4. Patch the xbe first.
    5. Copy all the files to the xbox.
    6. Try playing some games (can help) clears the xbox hdd cache.....
    7. Play the game again.

I have seen loads of posts on various boards saying bla bla the crack is no good.... its caues freezes in the game or when it loads... This isnt true... it will be corrupt files .. unless if the game/crack working for anybody.

And if it doewsnt work on ur hdd then .... damn it u can say... Its damn hdd protection. Along as it works from dvd I couldnt give a damn. You can bet most grps feel that way too.
