midi to mp3

I been looking for hours, and still haven't come up with any working softwares that converts midi to mp3 or Wav. If someone knows a good program and and knows how to use it, plz tell me!
Here are some stuff i tried so far with no luck: Widi, Midinight Express, Wingroove, winamp and a few more.

I was intending on using the likes of Cubase to remove basslines from MIDI files, converting to MP3, burning to a cd then playing along to get my bass completely up to scratch.

I use Wingroov to create .wav from .mid without any problems at all.
Click on File > Create Wavefile, select the audio output options and then click start.
